Hello friends,
Welcome to challenge #602 of the Cupcake Inspiration Challenge. This is a biweekly challenge where we have some fun themes to play with and lots of project inspirations.
The theme of this challenge is Favorite Foods. Tag your projects using something food theme at #cupcakeinspirationschallenge on Instagram and also provide a link to your projects on the CIC blog page.
Let's take a close look at the card that I created for this challenge.
I started by stamping this adorable cotton candy in beautiful pinks. I used the SSS Pawsitively Saturated Inks in the shade Peony (for the background layer of the cotton candy) and Taffy (for the accent layer on the cotton candy). For the stick I used Cappuccino ink.
I then die cut this image using the coordinating dies. I also stamped and heat embossed the little sparkle on the cotton candy using some tinsel embossing powder.
For my background, I used the Rhythmic Waves 3D embossing folder on an A2 size white cardstock. When I placed my cotton candy on this background, I thought this needed some color, so I used Bubblegum and Lilac inks and swiped the ink pads onto the raised parts of this embossed background.
I then cut a little strip of this ink blended panel and added a strip of gold cardstock from Your Paper Insider.
I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment using Versafine Onyx Black ink and die cut it with the coordinating dies.
I embellished the card front with sparkly Prism sequin by This Calls For Confetti.
