Let It Shine | AECP

Today I created a very clean and simple card with a hint of sparkle as part of my assignment for the Altenew Educator Certification Program. I am so happy to have joined this program. So much to learn from some some super talented card makers and crafters.

Today's card is inspired by a fun session on Let It Shine by Carissa Wiley where she shared so many tips and tricks to add shine and sparkle to you card fronts.

Let's take a closer look at how I created this project.

I wanted to create a very clean and simple card but also add some shine and sparkle to my card front.

For shine, I would usually add embellishments or glitter, but today I added sparkle using some foiled cardstock.

I began by cutting strips of cardstock by Your Paper Insider. I chose some beautiful teals for my card.

I adhered the strips diagonally onto the card front. To add a little floral element, I used the Build Your Garden - Nature's Magic Stamp Set by Altenew. I stamped this beautiful floral image using the SSS Pawsitively Saturated Ink in the shade Surf.

I stamped this little sentiment which is from the same Build Your Garden - Nature's Magic Stamp Set using the Versafine Onyx Black Ink.

A card which calls for shine is not complete without my sequin mix.

Keeping the teal color theme in mind, I used the Carribean Blue Pearl Mix by Kat Scrappiness.

I love how this card turned out. This was a very easy project and totally my style. I will definitely mass producing this in many colors and for multiple occasions.

Also, a big thank you to the creators at Altenew for all the wonderful classes and tips and tricks to create beautiful projects.

The Altenew Educator Certification Program is definitely a best opportunity to showcase my work and get in touch with all of the amazing crafters.

Thank you for being here with me today. Do check out fun pictures and videos of the project on my Instagram page (@rp_shutterbug). Also, tag me on Instagram with pictures of your projects.
