Fun Floral Birthday Card

Hello crafty friends,

Welcome to week 1 of Challenge #595 of the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge.

For this biweekly challenge we have a beautiful color combination. It's a color challenge where you have to use shades of Blue, Yellow and Red on your projects.

Florals are my absolute favorite. For my card today, I chose a big floral image as the focal point, paired with a small sentiment and some bling (ofcourse!). This could be. birthday card, a thank you card or a simple note wishing your loved ones a beautiful day!

For my card front, I chose this gorgeous floral image which is the Retro Flowers Stencil by Simon Says Stamp.

To color in the images I chose blue and yellow shades from the Pawsitively Saturated Ink line by SSS and for my red, I used Lumberjack Plaid Distress Ink. I heat embossed the Happy Birthday Sentiment (from Celestial Wishes Stamp Set by SSS) using some of the SSS Ultra Fine Gold Embossing Powder.

To add bling to this very simple card project, I used Gold Holographic sequin mix by This Calls For Confetti.

Hop onto the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge Blog Post and check out some fun projects.

I hope you choose to play with us this week. I cannot wait to see what you create!!

Do check out fun pictures of the project on my Instagram page (@rp_shutterbug). Do tag me on Instagram with pictures of your projects.
