Encouragement Card

Hello friends,

Welcome to challenge #601 of the Cupcake Inspiration Challenge. This is a biweekly challenge where we have some fun themes to play with and lots of project inspirations.

The theme of this challenge is Buggy for Bugs. Tag your projects using something Bug theme at #cupcakeinspirationschallenge on Instagram and also provide a link to your projects on the CIC blog page.

Let's take a close look at the card that I created for this challenge.

I wanted to keep this card very clean and simple. I started with this gorgeous Fantasy Butterflies Embossing Folder and Cutting Die. I embossed a panel of white card stock and using the butterfly dies, I cut out 3 butterflies from this very shiny Blue Glitter card stock and a heavy weight gold card stock by Your Paper Insider.

I added some matte Blue and Gold Metallic watercolor splatters on my background before I adhered the butterflies.

Next I stamped the sentiment onto a strip of white cardstock using my versafine onyx black ink and then added some shading of blue using the SSS Pawsitively Saturated Ink in the shade Marine.

Keeping in mind the theme of this challenge, I used these butterflies as focal point on my card.
