Easy Ink Blending Technique - AECP

This is my second card project for the Altenew Educator Certification Program. I am so happy to have joined this program. So much to learn from some some super talented card makers and crafters.

The card that I created today is inspired by the some of the techniques that I learnt from Amy Lee.  She talks about some amazing techniques in the Easy Ink Blending Techniques class.

I started with an A2 size Neenah 110lb card panel. I decided to stamp and heat emboss on this panel.

I used this huge Folk Art image as the focal point on my card front. I used the SSS Gold Embossing powder which I thought would match perfectly with the colors that I will be using to ink blend on my background.

After I stamped the beautiful focal point and heat set it with the gold embossing powder, I did some Emboss Resist Ink blending.

This image is so versatile that you could use so many different color combinations to ink blend it and also use this design to create cards for any occasion.

I chose my SSS Pawsitively Saturated Inks in the shade - Perfection, Ocean and Woodsy.

I adhered this panel onto a side folding A2 size white note card using some foam tape for dimension.

For my sentiment, I stamped the bold Thanks sentiment on a scrap piece of black cardstock using the same gold embossing powder.

I love how this card turned out. I hope this inspires you to create something similar using your using you big stamps, adding a touch of color and shine to your card fronts.

Also, a big thank you to the creators at Altenew for all the wonderful classes and tips and tricks to create beautiful projects.

The Altenew Educator Certification Program is definitely a best opportunity to showcase my work and get in touch with all of the amazing crafters.

Thank you for being here with me today. Do check out fun pictures and videos of the project on my Instagram page (@rp_shutterbug). Also, tag me on Instagram with pictures of your projects.
