Easy Die Cutting | AECP

Hello crafty friends,

Welcome to another fun card that I created for the Altenew Educator Certification Program I. This is one of my favorite techniques so far. We will be doing some Easy Die Cutting and to add some fun to our card, I will be doing an Inlay Die Cut focal point.

Let's take a closer look at the card that I have created today.

I started my first die cutting this Dainty Flowers floral focal point onto a piece of this very subtle teal cardstock panel.

Before the imlay, I thought of adding some texture to this panel, for which I used the Diamond stars 3D Embossing Folder.

Next, I stamped and colored the floral focal point on a piece of white cardstock. I like to used my Spectrum Noir Tri-Blend Markers to color my stamped images.

Using some foam tape I popped up the embossed panel, aligning the die cut window and placing the colored die cut floral point inside this window.

I kept the sentiment very simple. I stamped the "Thinking Of You" on a strip of white cardstock and adhered adjacent to the focal point.

I then added a touch of sparkle to the card front. I used the Sparkle All The Way Sequin from This Calls For Confetti.

I love how this card turned out. It's a change from the regular stamping and die cutting. I would definitely be creating more of these using different stamp and die set combinations.
