Clean and Simple Boutique Card - AECP

Hello crafty friends,

Welcome to a new project that I created for the Altenew Educator Certification Program. I am so happy to have joined this program. So much to learn from some some super talented card makers and crafters.

The card that I created today is inspired by the some of the techniques that I learnt from Jennifer Rzasa.  She talks about some amazing techniques in Clean and Simple Boutique Cards class.

I created a fun background using one simple floral stamp. This is the tiny Mini Daisy Stamp Set by Altenew. In the past, whenever I have used this stamp, I stamped this little bouquet to create a single focal point. This was definitely a fun change. Instead of stamping a single focal point, I stamped this image on the entire A2 size panel. I love this beautiful background. It's like creating your very own patterned paper.

Once I was done stamping, I chose to add minimum color to the flowers. I added a single shade of orange to the flower and some brown on the centers of these flowers. I chose to keep the rest of the image clean and simple.

Next I stamped the "Enjoy the little things" sentiment from the Fancy Frames Stamp Set, onto a piece of brown cardstock and matted it with strips of black cardstock. Both of these cardstocks come from a fun collection of papers by Your Paper Insider.

Before adhering this card front onto a card base, I cut the panel to be slightly smaller than an A2 size base. I like the slight brown border.

I stamped the same floral image on the inside of the card using Versafine Onyx Black Ink.

I love how this card turned out. I hope this inspires you to create something similar using your layering stencils, which gave a depth to my flowers and leaves.

Also, a big thank you to the creators at Altenew for all the wonderful classes and tips and tricks to create beautiful projects.

The Altenew Educator Certification Program is definitely a best opportunity to showcase my work and get in touch with all of the amazing crafters.

Thank you for being here with me today. Do check out fun pictures and videos of the project on my Instagram page (@rp_shutterbug). Also, tag me on Instagram with pictures of your projects.
