Celebrations - Stencil Techniques |AECP

Hello crafty friends,

I am back with a fun stenciled focal point image that was inspired by the Celebrations - Stencil Technique class conducted by Laurel Beard for the  Altenew Educator Certification Program.

Let's take a closer look at how I created this project.

I used the Sweet Spring Stencil which is one of my favorite floral stencils by Altenew. I have used this stencil in soo many different projects. This is a perfect focal point for any occasion cards.

This is kind of a layering stencil. I started by applying ink through the outline image, then rotated the stencil to add depth and dimension. I used the SSS Pawsitively Saturated Inks in the shade Sweets and Cherry for the rose and Pine and Sage for the leaves.

Cherry being the darker pink, I decided to add some sparkle on it. I used the Ruby Glitter Mousse by Kat Scrappiness. I love using my gels and pastes on such layering stencils to give dimension and defination to my focal point.

For my sentiment, I used the Sketchy Cities America 2 Stamp using Versafine Onyx Black Ink. I love the simplicity of this sentiment and I thought it matches perfectly with my clean and simple stenciled background.

I then adhered this card front onto a pink color top folding note card, which I thought matched perfectly the color on our floral image.

I love how this card turned out. This was a very easy project and totally my style. I will definitely mass producing this in many colors and for multiple occasions.

Also, a big thank you to the creators at Altenew for all the wonderful classes and tips and tricks to create beautiful projects.

The Altenew Educator Certification Program is definitely a best opportunity to showcase my work and get in touch with all of the amazing crafters.

Thank you for being here with me today. Do check out fun pictures and videos of the project on my Instagram page (@rp_shutterbug). Also, tag me on Instagram with pictures of your projects.
