Beautiful Floral Focal Point

Hello friends,

Welcome to challenge #601 of the Cupcake Inspiration Challenge. This is a biweekly challenge where we have some fun themes to play with and lots of project inspirations.

Let's take a close look at the card that I created for this challenge.

I began by die cutting this beautiful floral arranagement. This is the Elegant Blossoms Die Set from the latest STAMPtember® release by SimonSaysStamp. I love how delicate this image is.

I die cut this using some white cardstock and then ink blended on the flowers using Cadette Pawsitively Saturated Ink. For the center of one of the flowers, I used the Citrine and for the leaves I have my favorite combination of greens - Pine and Field. I added a hint of Mocha to give it a wooden branch like look.

Before assembling the die cut pieces, I added some gold splatters on them. While that was drying, I also added some gold, blue and black watercolor splatters on to white card penal.

While the watercolor splatters were drying, I decided to work on my sentiment. I have the CZ Design Scripty Hello Wafer Die, which is a word and shadow die. I cut out the word "Hello" using some black cardstock and for the shadow, I used white cardstock.

I very lightly ink blended the same Cadette ink on the lower part of this die cut sentiment.

It's now time to assemble the card.

I first assembled the floral focal point and then added the sentiment.

Now keeping in mind the theme of the challenge, I added a little butterfly sticker near the floral arrangement. This sticker is from one of the Dollar Tree Sticker collections. I absolutely love these stickers. They make my work so much more easier!
